Dr Judith Sullivan
Practice Founder, Senior Accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor

Judith has been a qualified psychotherapist and clinical supervisor for over thirty years. Her clinical experience was gained in both the public (NHS, emergency services, prisons and probation) and private sectors.
Her expertise includes systemic therapy, life and management coaching, mediation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, post trauma support and motivational interviewing. Her Master’s Degree researched cross disciplinary clinical supervision and her Doctorate in Psychotherapy focused on the provision of organisational post trauma support.
Judith started Sullivan & Associates in 2005 and now works part time from her premises in Leicester.
Kate Angell
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Location: Foxton
Kate is an experienced counsellor who holds a first class degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy, in addition to her Psychology degree. She has been involved with various mental health organisations over the last ten years; these include Anxiety UK, Samaritans and Leicester Counselling Centre.
She has also worked for the National Lottery, helping recent winners and their families by supporting them as they come to terms with their change of circumstances. Kate assists a wide variety of clients at her practice near Market Harborough, offering both short and long term therapy. In addition, she accepts referrals from Employee Assistance Programmes and works for our practice by undertaking on-site sessions for staff within the Criminal Justice system, predominantly within a prison setting.
Kate’s particular interests are in offering therapy for childhood trauma, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. Her therapeutic approach is Integrative and she uses her training, experience and understanding to offer clients a tailored approach which may incorporate humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy techniques.Kate offers appointments to adults and young people over the age of fourteen.
Lisa Cross
Play Therapist
Location: Leicester
Lisa is a Certified Play Therapist and a dual registered nurse in the fields of Mental Health and Learning Disability. She has qualifications in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and is a Level 2 Theraplay® practitioner.
Lisa specialises in therapeutically supporting children from the age of three onwards, together with their families, and has done so for more than fifteen years. Her experience includes working with children and young people on child protection plans, children looked after by the local authority and pre & post adoption. She provides Play Therapy in schools, working with children and young people who present with emotional, educational and behavioural issues. Prior to this Lisa worked with learning disabled children and adolescents with severe mental health difficulties exhibiting challenging behaviour.
A warm, talented and approachable individual, Lisa brings a wealth of experience to the practice and continues to help children, young people and families from diverse backgrounds and often very difficult circumstances to grow and change.
Phil Pinchen
Counsellor and Psychotherapist

Phil is a qualified, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with experience gained in both the voluntary sector and private practice.
Previously offering therapy in a charity setting, Phil worked with those affected by serious and life-limiting illnesses. He has also counselled clients who have experienced sexual, physical and/or mental abuse. Phil’s twenty years of experience in a corporate environment gives him an understanding and interest in working with clients to achieve a healthy work/life balance.
Now focusing on his private practice, Phil works with individuals, families and couples presenting with a variety of concerns, such as stress, anxiety, bereavement and depression.
Dr Mish (Michelle) Seabrook
Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor

Dr Mish, is dual trained as a psychotherapist and a business & life coach, she also offers supervision, training and consultancy.
Dr Mish offers 20+ years of helping others; through a warm and good humoured, yet challenging style, she will work with you to create a bespoke, collaborative approach to help you address your needs.
Therapy - Therapy is often attended at regular intervals,via weekly or fortnightly appointments. She'll bring her vast experience and therapeutic skills and aim to tackle whatever you are facing.
Coaching - Coaching can be useful if you are looking for a goal focused approach, with a clear commitment to moving towards what you want to achieve.

Kate Hall
Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor

Kate works in private practice with adults and young people aged eleven and over. Her background is in Education, Local Government, and as an Academy and Primary School Counsellor (working with young people between the ages of eight to nineteen).
Kate is a qualified couples counsellor, has extensive experience working alongside adults diagnosed with MS or cancer. She is a bereavement counsellor who deals with grief and loss, along with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems. Kate is trained in the Rewind Technique for trauma and PTSD.
She is a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and favours integrating therapeutic techniques to suit each individual client. She is a registered member of the BACP and IARTT and a qualified Clinical Supervisor.
Yumiko Kamata
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Location: Remote Sessions Only
Yumiko is an experienced BACP registered integrative Psychotherapist. She began her training as a counsellor in 2000, finishing a three-year Masters’ programme in San Francisco after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She worked with older adults and families in community settings for three years following graduation, prior to relocating to Leicester in 2006. She received clinical research training in Birmingham and offered counselling for people with cancer in charities/NHS settings, on a voluntary basis.
Yumiko sees individuals and couples within her practice based in Leicester and also works with children and young people as a school counsellor, treating a broad range of issues. She also has a good understanding of the challenges faced by culturally diverse individuals and societies. She is fluent in Japanese and English.
Yumiko is currently undertaking a three-year Somatic Experiencing training (advanced level) in order to integrate a neurobiological, body-based approach within psychotherapy. This approach is particularly effective in treating trauma and utilises a holistic approach.
Kate Carter
NLP Therapist
Location: North West Leicestershire (currently remote sessions only)
Kate works with adults and young people aged twelve and over. She is a qualified and accredited NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner and specialises in goal focused therapy for individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed or stressed with their present circumstances.
Kate has over fifteen years of extensive experience in secondary education. She offers space for clients to explore their feelings and then choose how they wish to move forward.
An NLP therapist helps clients to understand their thinking, behavioural patterns, emotional state and personal goals. By doing so, the therapist can help them find and strengthen the skills that will assist them in developing new strategies to replace unproductive ones.
Sarah Buxton
Arts Based Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor
Location: Remote working (based in Derby)
Sarah is a Health and Care Professions Council registered Arts Based Psychotherapist and a qualified Clinical Supervisor who works in private practice. Over many years, both as a therapist and supervisor, she has worked in various organisations such as charities, community interest companies, education settings (from preschool to University level) and private practice. She has experience working with a range of individuals of different age groups (children, young people and adults) with various needs. Sarah works in a client centred and integrative way using verbal, non-verbal and creative means to tailor her approach to each individual she works alongside.
She also has experience in working as a mentor, trainer and associate lecturer. She is enthusiastic about empowering others and enabling them to have a voice. Sarah has a private practice based in Derby, offering both one to one (in-person) and remote therapy/supervision.
Liz Stafford
Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Prior to her current career, Liz was an interior designer, utilising her art and design skills. Since qualifying as a counsellor over fifteen years ago she has worked extensively with young people in schools, charities and private practice. Liz adopts a creative, safe and integrative therapeutic approach, offering telephone and on-line therapy sessions in addition to face-to-face appointments at her premises.
In addition to her private practice she is currently employed in a private school and also a Special Educational Needs school. Liz is committed to continuing professional development and runs training workshops for fellow professionals, specialising in the use of varied and holistic approaches, tailored to meet the specific needs of clients.
She offers a warm, welcoming and open space to her clients, where they can feel free to express their difficulties and themselves openly.
Paula Fowle
Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.
Location: City centre and Countesthorpe
Paula is an experienced person centred therapist and is an accredited member of the BACP. Working with adults and young people (16+), Paula is keen to support individuals or families who have received news of a life limiting illness diagnosis and those who are struggling to find a way forward following a bereavement. Paula has experience of working in the voluntary sector both in cancer care and bereavement settings. Paula is a qualified supervisor and offers supervision to trainee counsellors. She also supports newly qualified therapists as they set up their private practice and navigate the accreditation process. Paula has experience of working in the education sector, supporting staff at difficult times in their lives and offering supervision for pastoral staff. She can offer sessions face to face or remotely.
Neil Martin

Neil is a psychotherapeutic counsellor who work with adults 18+. He is trained in an approach called Psychosynthesis that can help overcome personal challenges, achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, and support personal growth. As well as offering talking therapy, he uses meditation, mindfulness, body/feelings work and creative art materials.
Neil has over 25 years of experience working in children and family social care. From this, he has gained a great deal of experience working in frontline services that support children and families as well significant insight into childhood and teenage trauma and its impact.
Neil offers short and long-term therapy, both in person and online. He offers a safe, comfortable, and confidential space in the heart of Leicester City.
Claire Payne

Claire is a NCPS registered Counsellor and qualified educational trainer. She is based in Private Practice in Torbay, Devon and can offer face to face work locally, or remotely nationwide. Her work is integrative, encompassing Person Centred, Gestalt and CBT Approaches. She is also able to offer sand tray work for younger clients. Claire works with individuals on a short or long term basis and has over 25 years experience working within the Criminal Justice System and Social Care settings. She has a wealth of experience in face to face work with traumatised individuals and understands the impact of early years and trauma on their daily lives. She specialises in Work Place trauma, as well as domestic abuse, sexual abuse, early years trauma and attachment difficulties.
Claire enjoys training and has extensive experience in this area. We are delighted to welcome her into the practice.
Zainab Master

Zainab trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor at the University of Oxford. She works with clients who present with a variety of issues, and has a particular expertise in the fields of grief and trauma.
She is focused on client self empowerment and supports growth towards increased self-confidence and self-awareness. Zainab has a clinical background and brings this valuable experience to her work with mental health issues. She uses a warm and welcoming approach in her practice and has a marked interest in difference and diversity. She welcomes the opportunity to work with clients to explore these issues as part of their journey towards improved mental and psychological health.
Shaheena Haider

Shaheena works with clients by creating a warm, safe, trusting space. Exploring the needs of her clients enhances the process of progression into one’s inner world, providing a depth of insight, which contributes to healing and growth. Shaheena’s experience in this profession of 17 plus years has enabled her to work with the most vulnerable individuals within the voluntary, charity & educational sectors. Anxiety, depression, relationships, attachments, difference, childhood/adult trauma, living losses, cultural issues, bereavement, grief, suicide, self harm are just some of the issues she works with. She works with adults, couples and relational dynamics and is a multilingual therapist speaking English, Urdu, Punjabi & Hindi. Shaheena trained in contemporary psychodynamic counselling but throughout her practice she has embraced other modalities in her approach. She is also a qualified clinical supervisor and works face to face or remotely.
Kay Mann
CBT therapist

Kay is a qualified counsellor and a CBT therapist. She has been working in the counselling setting with adults for over 7 years. Her focus is on treating people with OCD, working with the gold standard treatments and evidence-based approaches. Kay is trained in Exposure & Response Prevention therapy and underpins all her work with kindness and compassion. Alongside this she also is a counselling supervisor and works with trainee counsellors to help uplift them and to feel calm and confident in the work they do. Kay works remotely nationwide and is now a valued part of our team.
Linda Barnard
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Location: London and Wellinborough
Linda has a BA in Sociology and Psychology. She started her psychotherapy journey as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Support; she went on to achieve an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and a Post Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the University of Leicester. Linda is also qualified in Therapeutic Coaching and she is an accredited EMDR therapist. Through individual treatment plans Linda helps people improve their overall wellbeing. She works with people on a wide range of personal problems including bereavement, divorce, domestic abuse and/or work-related problems. She also supports people who have complex mental health conditions.
